Quality Time

So, the hubby and I decided we'd take a little day trip this past week. We so needed the time to regroup and come back home as a united front so to speak.
Okay so here's the scenario...we are sitting next to the fireplace at our favorite winery in Dutzow,MO, having a nice romantic lunch talking and being all lovey dovey. A nice looking older couple come in and sit in the booth next to us. They're just carrying on a normal conversation when out of nowhere- the old guy breaks wind!
Yes...right in the midst of my romantic getaway with my husband. I couldn't believe it, his wife immediately scolded him...I was appalled! What a way to spoil the mood!

benadryl and duct tape

I spent the day trying to wear my boys down. Took them to my sister's house, where they ran wild and played for hours, only to bring them home wilder than ever. At first my solution was going to be benadryl and duct tape, but 2 showers and 1 bubble bath later things seemed to calm down. A wonderful home cooked meal of Lunchables was then served. Yes, folks, this is my world. Counting down until bedtime just so I can steal an hour or so to myself for a glass of wine and tv vegging on the couch...some nice relaxing me time.

A few random things about me ;)

1. I clean obsessively, lol.
2. I do more laundry than anyone I know ;)
3. I can't wait to get back on stage to do some musicals once the kids are a bit older!
4. I write my own music.
5. I want to successfully home school my boys all the way to college.
6. I miss high school ;)
7. I would love to travel more.
8. I want to be a foster parent to troubled teen girls, just need a bigger house.
9. My husband is a better cook than me ;)
10.I like peanut butter on my pancakes.
11.When I paint my nails, toes and fingers must match lol.
12.I love nicknames.
13.I'd love more animals around the house but husband says no.
14.I really don't want to ever move back to the "country"...totally "citified" now haha
15.I would like more time to write.
16.A bubble bath can fix any bad mood I'm in ;)
17.I love to scrapbook just don't have much time for it.
18.I love all that I do in my church even though it makes me crazy busy.
19.I'm ready for a bigger house, these kids are outgrowing this one.
20.I could live on chocolate.
21.Snuggies are highly overrated, lol.
22.I love to take pics.
23.I love music of every genre.
24.Waynes World is still my fave movie.
25.I'd stay in my pajamas all day every day if I could.

Do Over

So...as stated before, I have 3 young boys who I not only stay at home with but also home school. Their ages are 10,8, and 4. I was looking through my books the other day and realized that probably half of them are some kind of parenting book. This made me wonder wonder wonder. Why couldn't I write a book?
A friend of mine started blogging this week...and I remembered, hey I have a blog...somewhere??? Anyway, I found this again and was disappointed with the one post I had made...surely I have more to say right?
So, once again...
